Welding and cutting gas mixtures

For an effective welding process, it is crucial to use the most appropriate gas or gas mixture as the influence of the gas determines arc stability, penetration depth, deposition speed, and the quality of the weld bead. The choice of the type of mixture to use is closely related to the material being welded, the equipment available, and the final quality characteristics required for the job.

On the other hand, laser cutting is a thermal cutting process that allows for extremely precise cutting thanks to the combined action of a laser beam and a neutral or oxidizing support gas, depending on the materials being processed and the desired cutting performance (oxygen, nitrogen, argon, or mixtures).
